Portland, Oregon, one of the cleanest, and most beautiful cities in the country; the heart
of the Pacific Northwest, and close proximity (a little over an hour away) to the Pacific Ocean, and the quaint beach towns along the Oregon Coast, Mt. Hood and the Cascade Range, the Columbia Gorge with breathtaking
waterfalls, plus the rich
agricultural Willamette Valley, and the many Oregon Wineries.
Portland is a lively city; coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, organic grocery stores, and of course music and art festivals in just
about every venue. Portland is a cool-hip place to live; and don't
forget the hundreds of microbreweries that put Portland on the map, as one of the best places to drink a beer.
Joggers, runners, bicylists find the city roads friendly for non-motorized commuting. The light rail system "Max", and city buses provide easy travel throughout the Metro area. The freeway system,
and alternate streets and highways are well-maintained, and make travel throughout the city very easy. Portland seems to mesh walkers, bikers, and automobiles very nicely.
Our climate is never too cold, or too hot, and rainy days make for a beautiful lush landscape. Fall is especially lovely with the turning of the leaves; around the corner into winter
and we might just see some snow.
